Why should I be inducted into NAHS?

NAHS is a national organization, and the Induction is a way to officially recognize you as a member of the club. It lets the national organization know that you are in NAHS.

What are the requirements to be inducted into NAHS?

The Induction is at the end of the school year, so you need to be involved in the club during the school year to get inducted. You are required to attend at least 50 percent of the meetings and fulfill 15 hours of community service within the club. There is a 3 dollar fee to pay for the Induction Ceremony, but we can resolve any financial difficulties.

What are Certificates of Recognition?

California State Senators like to recognize individuals who do exceptional community service. It is not yet guaranteed, but the senate for our California district may be providing Senate Certificates of Recognition to dedicated members of NAHS during the Induction Ceremony at the end of the year. This award is for both members being inducted and current members.

To get a Certificate of Recognition, you must complete at least 20 hours of community service within NAHS and attend at least 50 percent of meetings.

04

Is it necessary to attend all the meetings?

There is no pressure to attend all the meetings, but you should attend as many as you can. You get 5 minutes of community service just for attending the meetings and time to work on the projects that we are doing. Also, meetings will cover important information about both outside of school and inside of school events that may not be posted elsewhere.
